SMART Recovery is a science-based alternative to the traditional addiction support meetings. It is an abstinence-based non-profit organization, comprised almost entirely of volunteers that has meetings internationally as well as online. SMART Recovery is a judgement-free zone and anyone looking for support through their recovery journey are welcome to attend. SMART Recovery helps people recover from all types of addictive behavior, including, but not limited to: drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, sexual, as well as other substances and activities. The use of religious and spiritual beliefs and practices during recovery is a personal choice and not a part of our program. SMART Recovery can be used as a primary or supplemental support program. SMART Recovery is a science-based alternative to the traditional addiction support meetings. It is an abstinence-based non-profit organization, comprised almost entirely of volunteers that has meetings internationally as well as online. SMART Recovery is a judgement-free zone and anyone looking for support through their recovery journey are welcome to attend. SMART Recovery helps people recover from all types of addictive behavior, including, but not limited to: drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, sexual, as well as other substances and activities. The use of religious and spiritual beliefs and practices during recovery is a personal choice and not a part of our program. SMART Recovery can be used as a primary or supplemental support program. We follow a 4-Point Program to Build and Maintain Motivation, Cope with Urges, Manage Thoughts Feelings and Behaviors, and Live a Balanced Life. Youth Empowered to Act (YETA) is a coalition of LGBTQ and allied youth leaders ages 14-24 working to create safe, supportive, and nondiscriminatory environments for youth through education, organizing and advocacy. YETA is open to new members who are interested in defeating homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and in becoming agents of change in their communities. Every year, this youth group organizes and leads Orange County’s only LGBTQ youth conference, the OC LGBTQ Youth Convening. Community events include but are not limited to: speaking at school board meetings, presenting at local youth conferences, hosting a leadership summer program, drag show fundraiser, and attend the national Creating Change Conference.
