Young Adult Groups:

We understand many young people transition into a new stage of life after graduating high school, and with that comes a renewed sense of independence whether it is attending college, working, traveling, meeting new people, or exploring other ventures in life. We provide social and educational groups for LGBTQQ young adults ages 18-26 to meet other peers, engage in educational workshops, and participate in local community events.

Gender Flood is a social drop-in group for transgender, genderqueer, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and gender-questioning young adults ages 18-26. This is a wonderful group to meet other transgender and gender non-conforming peers from throughout Orange County. Get involved, meet others, and participate in engaging weekly discussions, activities, and community events. Important Note: This is a closed space facilitated by and for transgender and gender non-conforming young adults. We kindly ask to respect the space for trans people only. Prism welcomes all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and/or allied young adults ages 18-26. The objective of this group is to provide young adults with a safe and welcoming space, where they can meet friends and participate in engaging weekly discussions, activities, and community events. The LGBTQ Center OC is excited to announce its upcoming 2021 Virtual LGBTQ Youth Convening, a free multi-day online conference that is organized and led by youth leaders from Youth Empowered to Act, a coalition of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) student leaders and their allies devoted to gender, racial, reproductive, and restorative justice issues in Orange County.

This year’s theme is Intersect and Connect.

The 2021Virtual LGBTQ Youth Convening will take place over three consecutive Saturdays in May. Each conference session will have a dedicated theme of the day, focused on mental health and support; education; and advocacy and empowerment.

This event is open to all ages and backgrounds, such as but not limited to: youth, students, parents, guardians, families, school staff and administrators, counselors, professionals, and community members and organizers.

We invite the entire community—whether at the local, state-wide, and national level—to experience three webinars complete with influential speakers, workshop presenters, and organizations working to provide affirming practices to create inclusive and intersectional spaces for LGBTQ youth in Orange County and beyond.

We are excited to share that we will have special guest performances from local drag artists at the end of each webinar, as well as opportunity drawings for gift cards!
